Columbus Green Drinks Green Columbus conducts Columbus Green Drinks, a monthly networking event for the environmentally conscious. Founded by Edwin Datschefski in London, UK, Green Drinks is an organic, self-organizing network that is currently active in over 200 cities across the globe. Earth Day In 2007, the folks behind Green Columbus organized the first city-wide Earth Day event in over a decade. A Year in a Day was a great success; over 1,300 Central Ohioans volunteered, contributing almost 4,000 person-hours, resulting in cleaner rivers, new trees in our parks, and all manner of community beautification. That afternoon, volunteers and others gathered in Goodale Park to learn about green initiatives, hear live music, and listen to speakers. We have even bigger plans for Earth Day 2008.
