Green Columbus is a ‘do tank.’ We are at the ready to take on the environmental challenges in Central Ohio and beyond. If you would like to get involved in one of our existing initiatives, or if you have an idea of your own, we want to hear from you.

Columbus Green Drinks is a monthly networking event for the environmentally conscious. Founded by Edwin Datschefski in London, England, Green Drinks is an organic, self-organizing network currently active in over 200 cities around the globe. Earth Day: Now Get Busy! Building on the success of the first citywide Earth Day event in 2007, Green Columbus organized and expanded the event in 2008. Volunteers worked 3-4 hour morning shifts at their choice of more than fifty worksites. In total, approximately 1,300 central Ohioans volunteered 4,700 hours planting trees, cleaning up parks and beatifying communities. At noon, volunteers made their way to Goodale Park for a “Zero Waste” Celebration (all waste was composted or recycled). Tips collected with beverage sales were used to purchase carbon credits to offset any greenhouse gas emissions associated with "Now Get Busy!" ensuring we truly left the planet better than we found it that day.
