Green Drinks – July 17, 6-8:30 pm King Avenue 5
Workin' 9 to 5 (to End Global Warming) Can you get paid to save the planet and put an end to poverty? You bet. The Green Jobs movement represents the crossroads of environmentalism, economic recovery, and the emerging green energy sector. For July, Green Drinks is teaming with Sierra Club to host aLightbulbs to Leadership party. Our featured speakers will be Kimberly Gibson, Assistant Energy Advisor to Governor Strickland, and Lisa Patt-McDaniel, Director of the Workforce and Talent Division with Ohio Department of Development. Both will discuss what Ohio is doing to attract green-collar jobs. And if that isn't enough, at 7:30 PM you can join a Sierra Club teleconference featuring folks at the helm of the Green Jobs movement.
