NETWORK AND LEARN
Green Drinks is a casual, monthly networking event for anyone. Some attendees work in the environmental industry, most practice sustainable lifestyles and all are “green curious.” Everyone comes for different reasons because everyone is invited. Please join us to add to the conversation and impact of this dynamic group of people who make Green Drinks a keystone in Columbus' eco-conscious culture.

June Green Drinks @ Barley's, June 28 at 6:00pm:
HOT TOWN, SUMMER In the city
Join us for a very special happy hour for our June Green Drinks at Barley's!
Our mayor signed on with the Mayors National Climate Action Agenda not too long ago and we would like to celebrate that with you. The first 30 people to meet us at the basement (and stay for the presentations) will get a ticket for a free beer!
We'll have happy hour prices during the event.
We would like to talk with you about climate locally, why it's important, how it affects Columbus and what we can do about it.
Jason Cervenec, from the OSU Byrd Polar Center, will speak about urban heat islands and how it is making Columbus increasingly hotter (not in a cool way).
Cathy Cowan Becker, from the Sierra Club, talks action in her "Ready for 100" presentation. Learn how cities can curb the impact of climate change by going 100% renewable.
We are very excited to see you there.
About Green Drinks
Founded by Edwin Datschefski in London, England in 1989, Green Drinks is an organic, self-organizing network currently active in over 700 cities around the globe.
The format is casual networking followed by a short eco-presentation, followed by self-directed hang out. Green Drinks enables participants to share new ideas, develop inspired solutions, join the discussion, learn about opportunities to work for change and make a difference; participants make the event into what they want.
Like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, or contact us to stay in the loop about everything that we do in addition to Columbus Green Drinks events. Additionally, if you’ve got something to say to the green crowd that you think would make a great Green Drinks topic, contact us.
