Green Columbus is dedicated to promoting sustainable living in central Ohio by providing

1)meaningful forums

2)raising awareness

3)encouraging local action

Green Columbus organizes the largest Earth Day volunteer service opportunity in the nation in partnership with community leaders, non-profits and businesses.

Building on the success of the first Earth Day in 2007, Green Columbus has engaged the central Ohio community to contribute more that 82,000 hours of green citizen service.

Earth Day Columbus 2015, themed “Right Right Now Now,” brought out a record-breaking number of volunteers - over 4,500 - who spent their time in the name of earth at 197 service sites across the region during a week of service. In total, Earth Day volunteers devoted more than 12,500 hours to cleaning and greening their communities.

Earth Day Columbus is more successful with increasing coordination from the communities that comprise central Ohio. Green Columbus' board, executive director and super volunteers have begun preparing, but we ask that you join us for Earth Day Columbus 2016 to ensure that we clean Earth up for her special day.
