Green Columbus is...

Dedicated to promoting sustainable living in central Ohio by providing meaningful forums, raising awareness and encouraging local action.

Working with community leaders, non-profits and businesses, we organize the largest Earth Day volunteer service project in the nation.

Building on the success of Earth Day in 2007, Green Columbus has engaged the central Ohio community to contribute more than 69,000 hours of citizen "green" service.

Earth Day Columbus 2014, which was themed “Gratitude”, brought out a record-breaking number of volunteers, over 4,000, who donated their time at 181 service sites across the region during a week of service. In total, Earth Day volunteers devoted more than 12,500 hours to cleaning and greening their communities.

We are gearing up for Earth Day 2015! Volunteer engagement at service sites will take place from April 18-25 and our annual Earth Day celebration will be held on April 25. Stay tuned for more details!
