Homeowners can request a free tree, 8 to 10 feet tall, professionally planted at no cost

How it works

  1. Step 1: Request your tree

    Complete the request form.

  2. Step 2: Schedule your site visit

    We’ll reach out to set a time, and an ISA Certified Arborist will check whether your front yard can safely fit a tree.

  3. Step 3: Get matched with the right tree

    If your yard qualifies, our team selects the species, size and planting spot best suited to your front yard. We’ll confirm the choice with you before moving forward.

  4. Step 4: Sign your permission slip

    Green Columbus will send you a permission slip with a deadline. Sign and return it by that date to approve your planting.

  5. Step 5: Welcome your new tree

    We plant in spring, fall or winter, weather permitting. Most plantings happen six months to a year after approval.
